With many local planters and durian traders eying the booming export markets, the lack of supply has lead to a sharp spike in prices of premium durian varieties like Musang King. As international demand rising fast, Malaysian durian lovers are beginning to feel being neglected, left behind and having to pay a high price due to this global craze for what should proudly be our national fruit. Newleaf’s commitment to spread the joy of durian started with the Desa Park City Durian Carnival 2018, which aimed to offer the supportive crowds the opportunity to savour some of the best durians produced from our farms at very affordable prices.
