Shareholder & Investor Update – Durian Farm Development (Pelangai, Mukim Bentong)

Dear Valued Shareholders and Investors,

We are pleased to present the latest progress update on our durian farm located in Pelangai, Mukim Bentong, as part of our ongoing commitment to keep all stakeholders informed of Newleaf’s operational development and long-term growth trajectory.

1. Farm Age & Tree Development Progress

Our farm is now entering Year 3 to 3.5 of its development cycle. At this stage, the trees are transitioning from their early establishment phase into structural growth, where root strengthening and canopy expansion become the key focus.

Planting Composition:

  • 70% Musang King (D197)
  • 30% Black Thorn (D200)

Both varieties are known for their premium market demand, but they also require meticulous care, especially in years 2–5, which are considered the most sensitive stages of growth.

2. Daily Operational Challenges

While our team continues to work diligently on the ground, we want to highlight some of the operational realities that influence farm progress:

3. Yield Expectation & Timeline Adjustment

We would like to address openly that yield expectations have shifted modestly, influenced mainly by climate unpredictability and the additional effort required to stabilise the young trees this year.

Based on our current assessment:

  • We anticipate the first commercial harvest to begin around mid-2027.
  • Approximately 70% of the trees are expected to enter their fruiting stage at that time.
  • The remaining trees will follow progressively in the subsequent seasons as they achieve full maturity.

While this represents a slight extension from initial projections, we believe the additional time invested into strengthening tree structure and resilience will ultimately produce a healthier, more productive orchard for the long term.

4. Our Commitment Moving Forward

Newleaf continues to invest in:

  • Advanced irrigation and moisture monitoring
  • Soil conditioning & nutrient optimisation
  • Skilled labour and agronomy supervision
  • Preventive pest & disease control systems

Our priority is to ensure that the trees develop strong foundations to sustain consistent yields throughout their lifespan of 25–30 years.

We appreciate your patience and continued confidence in Newleaf Eco Development. Durian farming is a long-term business that requires precision and resilience, but with careful management, the return horizon remains highly attractive.

Please feel free to contact us should you require further clarification. A more detailed farm progress report will be shared in December 2025, as scheduled.

Warm regards,
Newleaf Eco Development Sdn Bhd
